What would happen if a team of alien space archaeologists discover a distant and unknown planet that had undergone an apacolyptic event in which all of its apex creatures had been oblliterated, but they find an underground bunker full of well-preserved genetic material of what they assume are the Crème de la crème of their species? And what would happen if these scientists take this material back to their home world to clone these obviously superior creatures to insert them in a recreation of the approximation of the world that the alien scientists created? And what would happen if it turned out that those earthlings in the bunker hadn’t been the best of the best, but, through inexplicable circumstances, the worst of the worst that the species had to offer? Would nature or nuture win out? Or would something quite different result? [Damn, that’s a lot of questions!]
